Responsibilities involve researching and creating informed campaigns that appeal to a specific target, including:
- Creating a strategic content calendar and executing social media, website and email tactics
- Collaborating with designers or other copywriters to provide attractive and informative campaigns
- Monitoring and tracking content and performance on several platforms
- Keeping up with technologies used in social media and email marketing
- Managing prospect databases and contact lists
- Tracking customer engagement and SEO to optimize campaign content
- Establishing relationships/networks of industry professionals or influencers on social media
- Building strategies to grow a following and engage on the customer’s behalf
- Working hand in hand with the digital specialist on paid social media and digital ad campaigns
- Creating general content for uses such as brand positioning, press releases, and headlines
Skills useful for this position include:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role
- Organized and self-motivated
- Thrives in working with a team
- Proficient in business posts on social media platforms
- Proficient in email marketing software such as MailChimp, HootSuite, Constant Contact, and Buffer
- Understands SEO and web traffic data
- Understands email and social media KPIs
- Familiar with website content management systems
- Basic design and photoshop skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solver
- Excellent time management skills
- Exceptional at communication and building relationships
- Experience with B2B and non-profit writing is a bonus
