Amber Vlietstra Joins Revel as Content Specialist

Revel is pleased to announce the firm has hired Amber Vlietstra as content specialist. Amber’s responsibilities include client social media management; copywriting (including brand positioning, product copy, blogs, and news releases); research; and collaborating with the Revel design team to develop compelling marketing copy and concepts.

Amber has worked with Revel since March 2021 on a freelance basis. She previously taught college composition at Cornerstone University. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and English writing and a master’s degree in community and clinical counseling.

“My career trajectory hasn’t exactly been in a straight line, with experience in counseling, youth ministry, blogging, teaching, and social media,” said Amber. “But, I don’t think that’s a bad thing. My breadth of experience in different industries means I know when I’ve landed on a good team. The older I get, the more that’s become an essential value in my work life. Revel is a great team. We’re all dedicated to doing the best work we can for our clients and tagging in to help each other in whatever ways we can. In my experience, it’s something really special.”

Amber and her husband, Nick, an earth science teacher at Grand Haven High School and former minor league baseball announcer, live in Norton Shores with their golden retriever, Teddy, and cat, Krieger. In her spare time, Vlietstra enjoys following major league baseball, as well as the US women’s national soccer team, often waking at 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. to catch a match during international tournaments. She is also a fan of the National Women’s Soccer League’s Chicago Red Stars. The daughter of an Air Force officer, Vlietstra lived in several states while growing up, moving to West Michigan in 2015.
