West Michigan marketing firm adds twist to “Giving Tuesday” with 24-hour “Good Tuesday” marketing marathon

Any Michigan company can apply to receive a free, comprehensive marketing campaign from Revel.

Giving Tuesday has become known as a day of asking for donations, but Muskegon-based marketing firm Revel is putting its twist on the day by hosting a 24-hour marketing marathon that will donate its services to one lucky Michigan company. Called “Good Tuesday,” the event will put all of Revel’s 13 team members in its downtown Muskegon office from 9 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, through 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, to execute a comprehensive marketing plan free-of-charge for a company or organization that is focused on improving the place where they do business.

This 24-hour marketing marathon is directly inspired by Giving Tuesday, a global philanthropic movement that takes place on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. It encourages people to shift their focus from Black Friday and purchasing to charitable giving and acts of kindness. The day promotes coming together to support various causes and nonprofit organizations.

To apply or nominate a deserving organization for Revel’s “Good Tuesday” community give back event, applicants can visit www.revelmarketing.com/goodtuesday. Applications will be accepted through September 30, 2023.

Any Michigan-based company can and is encouraged to apply, with priority given to nonprofits and for-profit businesses promoting philanthropic causes. Organizations can nominate themselves, be nominated by a community member, or be nominated by a Revel team member.

Revel, founded on the principle of doing good work for its people, customers and community,  is using “Good Tuesday” as its way of bringing the mantra to life. For ‘Good Tuesday,’ Revel will donate 24 hours in service to a nonprofit or for-profit company in Michigan that is invested in initiatives that have a positive impact. In a single day, the whirlwind campaign will go from concept to completion and later be revealed to the public.

“Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of our team, the clients we serve, and the communities where we do business,” said Revel partner and chief executive officer Jason Piasecki. “This initiative encompasses all three of those aspects. We’re excited to give a worthy organization the kind of marketing it deserves. Projects like this are why I get out of bed to go to work every day.”

Revel, and potential campaign partners, will execute the start-to-finish marketing campaign with the 24-hour time crunch. Upon conclusion of the 24-hour period, Revel will present the campaign to the client at its downtown Muskegon office.

The Revel team is eager to share the experience as they take on a challenge unlike any they’ve done before. From strategic planning to content development to design and implementation, each member’s unique skills will be utilized to create a campaign that encompasses the fresh perspective and creative marketing solutions that Revel is known for and eager to share.

“I’m thrilled about Revel’s new annual Good Tuesday initiative. It’s going to be a challenge to accomplish a full marketing campaign in 24 hours, but I’m confident in our team,” said Danielle Webb, Revel’s chief operating officer. “It’s always nice to help our community grow, but I have a feeling our team will grow from this experience just as much. We’re all looking forward to creating a lasting tradition we can be a part of for years to come.”

The entire race-against-the-clock experience will be documented on social media, so the public is encouraged to follow along on Revel’s social pages: Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Followers will be able to join in on the excitement and get a behind-the-scenes look at Revel’s marketing process with a special twist.
