In an effort to highlight resident pride for the community and the many wonderful things they love about White Lake, this campaign aimed to cultivate community engagement and increased involvement from area residents and tourists. 

The campaign began with a focus group of approximately 30 individuals who lived, worked, and/or owned a business in the White Lake area. The group shared ideas, opened new lines of communication, and collectively voiced their thoughts and feelings. Based on the ideas shared at the focus group, a survey was then mailed to community members. 

Altogether, 576 individuals replied, and based on these responses, our new community campaign was born. It features a website where users can create their own branded graphic using their chosen “it” word that automatically overlaps the image for social media sharing. (e.g. “Boat White Lake”). Additional strategies included billboards, radio, yard signs, banners, digital ads, and several other targeted communication tactics.
