Revel Named One of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies To Work For

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Best and Brightest competition recognized local creative agency, Revel, as one of West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

The award is operated by the Michigan Business and Professional Association and is given out to companies who display excellence in their human resource, company culture, and employee enrichment practices. Revel, a creative agency that specializes in branding, design, digital marketing, writing, and web developement, was able to earn this competitive distinction their first time nominated.

101-best-and-brightest-logo.pngThe selection process to earn the Best and Brightest designation is vigorous and in-depth. It begins with a 130-question application to provide details on everything from company finances, diversity, leadership goals, and more. The application is reviewed by a team of local business leaders to see if the company is qualified to advance to the next round.

The companies who advance are then sent an employee survey that gauges how the staff feels about pay, benefits, company culture, work-life balance, and personal advancement opportunities. The results are analyzed by a third-party research firm, and the nominees are ranked based on a combined score of the application and employee survey.

After all was said and done, Revel was one of the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.

“Revel is like a family environment to me,” said Art Director Corine Dykman. “I’ve worked here for 6 years, and I enjoy the diverse opportunities I’m able to be a part of. I’m never stuck doing the same thing. The company is confident in your abilities, and they trust that you are going to make a huge impact for their clients and in the community.”

Building a strong company culture played a major part in Revel earning this award. Over the years, they’ve done a number of different things – from tailgates to sailboat trips to offering an in-office keg – to spice up life around the office.

The award ceremony, hosted by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, took place at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids. Each company that participated received a complimentary assessment report and the opportunity to take advantage of other benefits, such as workshops and resources, throughout the year.

When asked what the award meant to her, Dykman said, “The Best and Brightest award means that we have an outstanding culture. It reflects what I value at work and what I’m looking for with my personal values. It shows that we mean a lot and are genuinely important to Revel.”

Companies such as Revel reflect the trend of increased emphasis on employee satisfaction being seen in West Michigan and throughout the nation.

“Being recognized as one of the Best and Brightest is a tribute to the amazing, talented people that are part of our team,” added Revel CEO Jason Piasecki. “I couldn’t be prouder.”
